GIRL POWER - An Historic Trek Along the North County Scenic TrailJoan Young is a local celebrity who has recently made history by completing her SECOND trek of the North Country Trail. This trail is the longest in the the National Trails System and stretches 4,800 miles across 8 states from North Dakota to Vermont. The 1st time Joan completed the trail, it took her 20 years and she was the 1st woman to do it. This time, she did it consecutively over 18 months, 18 days.
