We're excited to invite you to an exclusive event that celebrates the art and science of homebrewing. Join us at Vine Street Brewing Co. Mainstage in the beer garden for Mash Talk on Thursday, May 9th, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. This special panel event features renowned KC homebrewers who will share their journeys, techniques, and the lessons they've learned along the way.
Meet Our Panelists:
Kevin Olson: A dedicated brewer since 2004 and a BJCP Master ranked beer judge, Kevin has clinched medals at the National Homebrew Competition for the past three years. As the current president of ZZ Hops, Kevin’s insight into competitive brewing and beer-style precision is unparalleled.
Mike and Stephanie Butler: This brewing duo started in 2008 and quickly became prominent, winning multiple gold and silver medals at the NHC. As Grand Master V-ranked brewers in the Master Homebrewer Program and National BJCP judges, their contributions to the Kansas City Bier Meisters and their passion for hoppy and malty beers have made a significant impact on the brewing community.
Cherrick McGinnis: With 7.5 years of brewing experience and a knack for the mechanical aspects of the craft, Cherrick brings a hands-on approach to brewing. A member of the Missouri Mashers, his custom-built all-electric brewery showcases his technical skills and love for simple, perfected brews.
Joe McDonald: Starting in 2017, Joe has quickly embraced the brewing culture. His work as the competitions coordinator for the Johnson County Brewing Society and his success in having his recipes scaled up exemplifies his passion and dedication to homebrewing.
Delicious food will be available from The Spot for those who want to pair great eats with great talks.
This panel is part of our celebration of National Homebrewers Day (May 7th) and is a tribute to all who love brewing as much as we do.
