MASCARAS II : STENCIL PAINT & SIP

MASCARAS is more than just a stencil art workshop. It will allow participants to tap into the faces of our identity and the meaning of the colors we chose to associate with.

The workshop is centered around the Japanese Proverb “3 faces” of self , Visualization behind the mask and Color psychology. In an effort to dig deeper in choosing the stock paper, mask design and colors.

The Stock Paper represents our Public Persona, the face that is shown to the world.

The Mask Stencil Designs (El Santo , Blue Demon or Mil Mascaras) will have two stencils .

The blank mask stencil represents Close Acquaintances , the face that is shown to close friends and family

The stitching stencil represents Alone , the face that is only revealed when one is alone.

The colors selected give life to those personas.
