About this Event
This educational and networking event will cover key concepts in the laws and process invovled in farm to institution food procurement, including an overview of Maryland state procurement law, and the Maryland's Certified Local Farm & Fish Program, navigating eMMA bid process, and discuss various models to establish F2I relationships. We will also hear about Value-Chain Coordination services offered from the Chesapeake Agriculture Innovation Center (CAIC) and 4P Foods, a distribution company focusing on sourcing from local growers, the University dining services managers, and tour a local farm to observe production scales and models for selling to instutitions.
