The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services (DJS), in partnership with Frederick County Workforce Services (FCWS) and the Maryland Department of Labor (DOL), will host a Career Day focused on employment opportunities at DJS juvenile facilities ONLY in Frederick and Washington counties, Maryland.
Participating Juvenile Facilities:
- DJS Victor Cullen Center (VCC) – All-Male Facility
Sabillasville, Frederick County - DJS Western Maryland Children’s Center (WMCC) – All-Female Facility

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Resident Alien of at least 21 years of age, high school diploma or GED. **NO EXPERIENCE or DEGREE REQUIRED**. Submit to comprehensive background check, substance abuse test, physical and psychological exams.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

DJS is looking for therapeutic leaders, coaches and mentors for our youth! The DJS Resident Advisor Trainee position is the entry level of work responsible for providing supervision and guidance to the youth residing in a facility that is operated by the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services.
The DJS Resident Advisor Trainee ensures supervision and guidance of the youth by observing, interacting and assisting them with everyday life skills and advising them of appropriate alternative behaviors. This position may be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
