We are stoked to add some live music back into our Record Store Day festivities. This year my friend of over 50 years, and a BLAZING guitarist will play a set with his Marvin King Revue ( Pete Cash/bass + John Glancey/drums) on Saturday April 12 at 2pm in The Bohemian Café. I followed Marvin all around the clubs and music bars even before Horizon records was opened. It’s a very special treat to pull him in to our RSD event in this the year of our 50th anniversary. It’s even more cool that Marv found a small stash of a very rare 1973 45rpm vinyl single cut when he was in the rocking band Fresh Licks. The band back in the day and def on this record sounds so cool; kinda like a cranked up Johny Winter or a grungy early Cream albeit with a tasty southern tinge. This single is a taste of absolutely rare, rocking goodness. The singles while they last are first come first served and limit one per customer, $ 20 per and the money goes straight to Marvin. -Gene
