About this Event
Our Historic African American Bus and Walking Tours offer a number of opportunities to witness significant sites from the 19th and 20th centuries. The goal of our tours is to empower participants to learn more about Dallas’s African American heritage.
This 4 hour tour will include stops at the Lynching of Allen Brooks Equal Justice Initiative Historical Marker at Main and Akard Streets, the 1910 Lynching of Allen Brooks Texas Historical Marker at the Old Red Courthouse, and Martyrs Park, future site of the Shadow Lines Monument, Jane Elkins and 1860 Lynching Historical Markers plus additional sites
The tour will begin at RBDallas's office at 1408 N. Washington Ave., Dallas, Texas 75204. The bus will depart at 10:00 am sharp, so please arrive early to leave time for checking in and finding a seat.
