FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS, USING REGGAE AND OTHER WORLD MUSIC AS A VEHICLE OF EXPRESSION FOR THE VOICELESS PEOPLES OF THE WORLD, EPHRAIM MARTIN HAS BEEN MAKING EXTRA-ORIDNARY CONTRIBUTIONS TO HUMANITY, FIGHTING FOR SOCIAL CHANGE, EQUAL RIGHTS AND JUSTICE; ESPECIALLY FOR CARIBBEAN, AFRICAN, BLACKS AND OTHERS WITHOUT FINANCIAL COMPENSATION FOR HIS JOURNEY. THANKS TO YOU AND THE COMMUNITY FOR HELPING TO HAKE HIS VISION OF "BRINGING NATIONS TOGETHER THROUGH MUSIC AND CULTURE" POSSIBLE OVER THESE YEARS.
Dr. Ephraim M. Martin, the Jamaican-born, President of Martin’s International, and the Black Heroes Matter (BHM) Coalition, producer of the annual Chicago Music Awards, the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), the African/Caribbean International Festival of Life, the JSVFest, and who led the BHM Coalition campaign to rename Lake Shore Drive as Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable Lake Shore Drive, will be the recipient of a National Badge of Honour for Meritorious Service on Jamaica National Heroes Day, Monday, October 17th at the King’s House in Kingston, Jamaica.
THE CELEBRATION OF HIS ACHIEVEMENTS WILL BE HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH MARTIN'S INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISING GALA, AND THE PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY IS REQUESTED TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT. SEE BELOW.
