About this Event
Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: A Call to Economic Equity
Join us as we honor the life, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose unwavering commitment to justice, dignity, and economic equity continues to guide our work today. This commemorative event will begin with a reception, bringing together community leaders, advocates, and partners committed to advancing opportunity in the Black community.
We will recognize Dr. King not only as a dreamer, but as a strategist—one who understood that true freedom requires economic power, access, and systemic change. Through reflection and dialogue, we will examine the relevance of his economic justice vision in today’s landscape.
The evening will culminate in a facilitated discussion focused on where we go from here—exploring collective action, policy pathways, and community-driven solutions that move us closer to economic equity and shared prosperity for the Black community.
Together, we honor the legacy—and continue the work.
