Join 1000 Friends of Florida and the Guardians of Martin County in Stuart for an informative presentation projecting the impacts on land use, the environment and the local economy in the future if Martin County continues to follow its current patterns for growth and development. Find out how the county can achieve a more prosperous, resilient future, and maintain its rural character and high quality of life, through prudent planning, while capitalizing on the opportunity to preserve environmentally and economically valuable land. The presentation is based on a land-use study commissioned by the Guardians and conducted by researchers at the University of Florida's Center for Landscape Conservation Planning. The presentation from 1000 Friends of Florida's Policy & Planning Director, Kim Dinkins, will last up to 90 minutes and include a question and answer period.
