About this Event
Enjoy a couple of hours of free time while the kids run, jump, play — and even break a board! Whether you’re relaxing with a warm cup of coffee, meeting a friend for lunch, or checking off a few errands, your children will be engaged in a mini taekwondo lesson and fun games in a safe, closely supervised environment.
This event is hosted by Children's Home Society of Virginia (CHSVA) and the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC) for families residing in the NPAC service region. This region includes: Frederick/Winchester, Clark County, Loudoun County, Warren County, Shenandoah County, Falls Church/Arlington/Fairfax/Alexandria, Fairfax County, Fauquier County, Manassas/Manassas Park, Prince William County, Page County, Rappahannock County, Culpeper County, Stafford County, King George County, Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg, Rockingham/Harrisonburg, Greene County, Orange County, and Louisa County.
Families are eligible for this event and NPAC services if they reside in the Northern region of Virginia and are one of the following:
- A family with a finalized adoption (or a signed Adoption Placement Agreement) of a youth between the ages of 0 to 18 years; families with young adults under 21 may be eligible
- KinGAP families
- State-funded kinship subsidy families
Thanks to our partnership with the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) this event is provided at no cost to families.
Please note: This is a drop-off event for children ages 5 and up. We will have exclusive use of the facility, along with ample staff supervision to ensure a safe and fun experience. Filtered water dispensers are available on-site—children are welcome to bring an empty water bottle, or cups will be provided. Please have children dress in comfortable clothing suitable for active play.
Following playtime, pizza will be provided for all children. For those who may prefer a quieter option, arts and crafts and board games will also be available.
CHSVA will cover the cost of participation for each child. This opportunity is limited to children living within the same household (including children residing in the adopted or kinship youth’s home), and the adoptee or kinship youth must be present to participate.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you check out on Eventbrite, you must stay on the site to answer the questions after the confirmation screen. Families who register without completing the questions will have their registration cancelled.
