Western Montana’s own Martha Scanlan joins forces with Portland-based multi-instrumentalist Jon Neufeld for an intimate debut performance. While Martha returned to our stage in June 2024, this marks their first joint show—bringing together her deep roots in East Tennessee mountain music and Jon’s innovative guitar mastery.Their new project Last Stars First Light (Jealous Butcher Records) is a contemplative journey between landscape and emotion, with melodies and improvisation that echo both old-time traditions and fresh, exploratory soundscapes.
