Mass Crysis is a project born in Perugia (Italy) in 2011 from an idea of guitarist Andrea Giordani, bassist Mattia Alunni Cardinali and drummer Edoardo Mariotti to create a Thrash Metal project.
In 2012, Francesco “Jeffckott” Garaffa joins the project as vocalist and soon after the group starts performing in several Metal festivals in Central Italy, playing with bands like Satanika, Sofisticator and Bloodtruth.
As the personal and musical bonds in the band grow stronger, the four enter the
recording studio and at the end of 2012 they publish the EP “Die Totale”, containing four unreleased tracks. The EP goes on to receive positive reviews from both public and critics.
In 2013, they perform for seven dates on the stages of Croatia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia and Macedonia, as official opener for Neurasthenia (IT) during their Eastern European tour. However, in 2015, Andrea, Edoardo and Mattia abandon the project, leaving the singer Jeffckott to take over the band.
Therefore, the frontman takes on the role of guitarist too and begins looking for new
musicians. In the meantime, he carries on with the composition of new material, always seeking the idea of playing Thrash Metal.
In 2018, the search stops with the enrolment of Lorenzo Rocchi on drums and Nicola Lemmi on bass, also coming from the Umbrian Metal and Hard Rock old guard.
The new formation begins working with an excellent feeling and good understanding. This soon allows them to walk the stages of the Italian underground Metal scene again, supporting bands such as Redriot, Reverber and Nanowar of Steel.
In May 2022, they collaborate with the Italian Rockrider FMI motorcycle club, writing and recording their official anthem "Chrome and Skin". The following June, they participate in the Italian Agglutination Metalfest contest, ranking third nationwide.
In January 2023, they sign with TheGoatmancer Records, with which they release their new full length album “Imposing Truck”, containing 9 unreleased tracks.
During the months of March and June of the same year, they embark in the album’s
supporting Thrash Invasion Tour with several concerts both in Italy and Eastern Europe.
The next dates planned in September will instead see them playing on the stages of Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
