The present constantly reshapes how we remember the past. Every time we return to a memory, it has changed again. While memories are fleeting, they also form constellations. As fragments that connect across places, moments, people and feelings.
Through analogue photography, Marta López Briones captures these fragments in the world around her. The images do not illustrate a story; their meaning appears in repetition, in small shifts, and in the way they sit together over time. This is how 𝘕𝘖𝘞𝘏𝘌𝘙𝘌 𝘌𝘝𝘌𝘙𝘠𝘞𝘏𝘌𝘙𝘌 does not tell one story, it invites yours. In A4 Kafé, the fragments come together as a constellation. And as you move through it, you may find yourself in this headspace of blurriness.
𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝗟𝗼́𝗽𝗲𝘇 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 was born in Murcia, Spain, where she studied Media Communication and Photography. She has lived in Portugal, Germany, and Italy, working in various roles within the cultural field. In January 2025, she moved to Bratislava to spend one year work as a filmmaker at A4 as part of a European Solidarity Corps project, with a focus on video production. Her practice moves across different media. She often works intuitively, paying attention to small details and moments from everyday life.
The opening of the exhibition takes place on 21 January 2026 at 19:00. It will be on view until 25 March 2026.
