About this Event
Lauren at High Tide Paddle Co (Paddle Babes) and Ashleigh at Somatics For Stress are hosting an immersive marsh ecology and somatic stress workshop for women who are experience chronic stress and who know they need to get outside more. We are here for you! We will be taking an intimate dive into what makes the marsh so magical (because it's pretty freaking awesome) and how to use the magic of our local Charleston ecosystem to reduce stress in your day to day life. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
Ashleigh Westenhoff is a somatic practitioner who helps chronically stressed women reduce their stress using somatic healing and nature so that they can be present, free, and connected to their lives again. She firmly believes that the best and most sustainable way to reduce stress is by building a deepened connection to the body. She helps her clients figure out where their stress is coming from in their bodies so that they leave her knowing how to reduce their stress confidently on their own.
Lauren is the founder of High Tide Paddle Babes, a women’s outdoor community in Charleston, SC. A certified paddle instructor and marsh ecology educator, she’s passionate about nature immersion, Blue Mind therapy, and empowering women to connect with nature, themselves, and each other through meetups, retreats, and environmental stewardship. Did you know the salt marsh is as important as the rainforest? Lauren will teach us how this beautiful ecosystem supports and even protects us, and how we as locals can help be its protectors in return.
