Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy is located on 14 acres of farmland in Butler County (Middlesex Township). The Conservancy is the home of Wildbird Recovery, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and natural resources. We achieve this goal by presenting educational programs, in addiiton to providing licensed rehabilitation efforts for Passerines (Songbird, Swifts, Swallows) and Raptors (Birds of Prey). Our continued efforts are supported entirely by the community.We have been a resource in the community for more than two decades and are excited to bring science programs to the students of Mars Area School District.

Who: Any student in second grade at Mars Area Elementary School may participate.
What: After-school Science Program for children who want a hands-on, unique experience to learn science beyond the classroom.
Where: Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy (120 Forsythe Road, Valencia, PA 16059)
Time: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (structured learning time); drop-off begins at 3:45 PM with pick-up by 5:45 PM
When: After-school Science Program with Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy will be every Wednesday in March 2025 - March 5th, March 12th, March 19th, and March 26th.
Sign-ups: Email Melissa at ([email protected]) for an application by 11/22/24. Please include a phone number in the email. The maximum number of students is 20. Students in Mrs. Wagner’s class will be given first choice. If we reach the max, we may open up a second group on a different day in March 2025. If registering past the deadline, please email to check for availability.
Cost: $80 - Please make checks payable to Wildbird Recovery, Inc. There is the option to pay via Venmo or PayPal. Payment is due in February 2025 (by February 7, 2025). This amount is non-refundable.
