About this Event
Equal parts Artist-Residency, venue takeover & underground club Pop-Up-Throwdown…
this two-day event will explore nearly 4-decades of Marque Gilmore’s music & multimedia arts creations and collaborations in live performance, film presentation and sonic installations. This will cover some his most recent experimentation in ambient soundscapes, binaural beats explorations, electronic dance music remixes and genre-bending Future-Music Cosmic-Jazz tracks, while reaching all the way back to the music of his earliest days in NYC as the youngest Founder-Member of the Black Rock Coalition! Gilmore’s primary work over the years has always focused on the connections of ancient musical traditions, modern music and music-technology in both performance and production, known as “Science-Friction-Drum-and-Space” all dedicated to the continued development of future-bound arts and cultural initiatives committed to Human Rights and Climate Justice.

Day-2 is a super deep-dive into Marque’s world of Futuristic House, Global Beatz and his patented interactive Live Jungle and Drum’n’Bass Music with a special audio-visual showcase of his 2024 Muzik-to-Maasai water well fundraiser project: JUNGLIST BREAKS vs. HUMAN MISTAKES, Volume 1 and a preview to 2025’s upcoming November release of Volume 2: “RIGHT TO LIFE”. The Finalé of this 2-day sound explosion will be a hardcore 90-minute Live DnB-ReMiX Session honouring, celebrating and remixing The Black Rock Coalition for its glorious 40th Anniversary! Reimagining select tracks from the first two compilation albums: History of Our Future & Blacker Than That, Marque resurrects his late-80s alternative BRC club night The LoVe WeaPoN combining it with his mid-90s-born, Brooklyn-London music and arts platform DRUM-FM as we welcome a blessed gathering of Artists from the BRC Old School! (Special Guest Artists to be announced soon)
