Join us for a hands-on morning caring for Marom Creek with the community.Together, we’ll be planting native trees and grasses and exploring the creek’s underwater life through BRUV (baited remote underwater video) surveys at Praesentia.
This is a beautiful property overlooking the Tuckean, a site that showcases how healthy waterways can flourish with ongoing care and attention.
Supported by OzFish, this project builds on the fantastic work already led by local landholders and restoration teams. The aim is to restore roughly 2 hectares of riparian zone and enhance another 6 hectares of surrounding vegetation, creating long-term benefits for fish and the wider ecosystem.
Marom Creek is home to a variety of species, including Australian bass, mullet, catfish, freshwater crayfish, and smaller native fish. Our surveys hope to reveal even more aquatic life thriving in this vital part of the Richmond catchment.
