One year ago on 16 of September 2022 Jina Amini, a young Kurdish woman from the town of Saqez, was brutally killed by the Iranian Regime while on holiday with her family in Tehran sparking a revolution in Kurdistan which has spread across Iran and now the world against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Kurdish Association of South Australia in conjunction with the Kurdish Youth Society invite you to gather with us as we mark one year of the Jina Revolution for Jin, Jiyan Azadi by honouring the thousands of lives lost on the path to freedom.
Our event will incorporate Kurdish music, culture and history to mark this historic event.
Light refreshments will also be available.
