"Building Communities and Bridging Healthcare"
Overview: Ourmedic is a revolutionary telemedicine platform that aims to provide specialist and unbiased medical advice to patients globally. Initially, it will focus on patients in India, allowing them to access highly qualified GMC-registered doctors and consultants from the UK. Following this, the service will expand to include UK patients. The company, backed by four founders and initial seed funding, is poised for rapid growth in the UK market.
To ensure the successful launch and adoption of Ourmedic in these markets, a marketing strategy is required that not only introduces the service but also fosters a sense of community among users.
Unique Selling Proposition – Unbiased and specialist medical opinion from a network of GMC-registered Doctors and Consultants based in the UK.
Your Task: As part of this competition, you are tasked with developing a comprehensive marketing plan aimed at building a strong and engaged community of potential customers for Ourmedic in the UK markets. The primary goal is to create a strategy that attracts followers to the brand across its social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn—ultimately leading to consultations on the platform.
Objectives:
· Increase Brand Awareness by developing strategies to raise awareness of OurMedic in UK market through targeted digital marketing efforts.
· Build a Community by creating a plan to foster an engaged online community on social media platforms, encouraging interaction and trust between users and the brand.
· Drive Consultations by implementing marketing tactics that lead to increased user registrations and consultations on the OurMedic platform.
· Enhance Social Media Presence by developing a content plan to grow followers and engagement on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Competition guidelines for the OurMedic marketing competition:
1. Originality and Creativity: All marketing strategies and campaigns must be original and developed by the participants. Students are encouraged to think creatively and propose innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the UK market.
2. Data-Driven Approach: Participants should back their marketing plans with research and data. This can include industry reports, audience insights, social media trends, and case studies. Submissions will be judged on the depth of research and how well the strategy aligns with the target audience's needs and behaviours.
3. Presentation Format: Final submissions must include a PowerPoint presentation of no more than 10 slides. The presentation should clearly outline the social media strategy, launch campaigns, community-building initiatives, and proposed success metrics. Presentations should be visually engaging, clear, and concise.
Evaluation criteria for the competition
· Creativity of Strategy: How innovative and engaging are the social media strategies and launch campaigns?
· Practicality: Can the proposed strategies be realistically implemented within OurMedic's resources and timelines?
· Community Engagement: How well do the recommendations foster trust, interaction, and long-term engagement with the OurMedic platform?
· Measurability: Are there clear, actionable metrics to evaluate the success of the marketing plan over time?

Deadlines & Participation
28th November 2024, from 12 am-1 pm- Initial Presentation (room number to be confirmed)
This is your chance to present your initial ideas to a board of industry professionals and academics. Get valuable feedback, ask questions, and kickstart your journey to success! You will receive feedback from industry professionals and academics. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions. After this presentation, you will have time to improve your work and prepare for the final presentation.
5th December 2024, from 12 am -1 pm – Final Presentation (room number to be confirmed)
On this date, you will present your final marketing plan for the business. You are required to present your final ideas in a 10/15-minute presentation. You may want to use a PowerPoint presentation which contains elaborates on personas, studies influencers, and provides actionable recommendations. On this day, the client will choose the winner.
