Born and raised in Sacramento, California, DJ Mark West at the age of 12 was inspired by artists like the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, A-Trak, Jazzy Jeff, and DJ Craze, Mark West developed a diverse style, working with everything on the spectrum from Hip-hop and R&B to house, as well as various remixes and rare grooves, creating a unique sounda diverse style, working with everything on the spectrum from Hip-hop and he continued to hone his craft through his teenage years, working his way up from house parties to the city's biggest clubs and events.
