About this Event
When you're at a Mark Lipman show, you may feel things. You may have discoveries about yourself, veils of reality may lift, and you may find yourself feeling connected to the hearts of people you barely know around you. In his acclaimed album The Glimmer (2022), Lipman opens up about his journey—one where he discovers that the same symptoms mental health providers see as problems can often be sources of strength, insight, wisdom, and empowerment. Listen to his newer songs from an upcoming release, and you’ll hear stories that touch on love, compassion, and the power of being vulnerable from the perspective of a gay man—all delivered through Lipman’s soulful, evocative, near-angelic vocals.
His most recently released single "Daddy Issues" is a playful testament to his ability to tell a story both personal and universal, raw and tender. Lipman will be performing some of these tunes and more at this intimate show at the Rooted Cafe in the Center for The Arts at The Armory in Somerville, MA. He'll be accompanied by his friends and local music legends Kara Kulpa, Abbie Barrett, and Erik White.
There will be food and drink available for purchase at the cafe. Masking for this show is optional.
