The closing event of the 2025 Guildford Jazz and Soul Festival, Guildford Jazz proudly presents the Mark Kavuma & The Banger Factory Sextet with Magnum Opus !Magnum Opus is the new recording by The Banger Factory, led by the charismatic and visionary trumpet player and composer Mark Kavuma. Kavuma is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of jazz whilst inspiring the next generation; showcasing the immense talent of London's jazz community, championing diversity across genres, genders and borders, and ultimately shaping the future of jazz music.
Magnum Opus presents original compositions, arrangements and performances by veterans of the British jazz and is a celebration of music, leadership and community! Released last Autumn, the album was launched at a sold out Queen Elizabeth Hall (Southbank Centre) for London Jazz Festival.
