The Ndagga Rhythm Force are, hands down, one of the most explosive African acts to see these days! Bringing the raw energy of Senegalese Mbalax paired with Electronica from Berlin to the stage – dance music built on tradition and forward power.
It all started back in 2011, when Mark Ernestus (of Basic Channel, Rhythm & Sound and Hard Wax fame) travelled to Dakar and recorded with over 20 local sabar percussionists.
Since then, the project has evolved into a razor-sharp live band, touring clubs and major festivals across Europe. Their long-awaited new album “Khadim” dropped in 2025, echoing the minimalist dub aesthetics of Ernestus’ earlier productions.
Singer Mbene Diatta Seck and percussion veteran Bada Seck lead a cast of Dakar-based musicians into a trance-inducing night of rhythm and vibration.

Die Ndagga Rhythm Force zählt zu den explosivsten Live-Acts des afrikanischen Kontinents – und bringt eine einzigartige Fusion aus traditioneller senegalesischer Mbalax-Musik und Berliner Electronica auf die Bühne.
Das Projekt begann 2011, als Mark Ernestus (Basic Channel, Rhythm & Sound, Hard Wax) nach Dakar reiste und dort spontan mit über 20 lokalen Perkussionisten Aufnahmen machte.
Mittlerweile hat sich daraus ein eingespieltes Kollektiv entwickelt, das große Festivals und Clubs in ganz Europa begeistert. Die neue LP „Khadim“ erschien dieses Jahr auf Ernestus’ eigenem Label und knüpft an seine hypnotischen Dub-Welten à la Rhythm & Sound an.
Die charismatische Sängerin Mbene Diatta Seck, Perkussion-Legende Bada Seck und weitere Musiker:innen aus Dakar sorgen für eine tranceartige Live-Erfahrung. Ein Konzert, das man nicht vergisst.
