We welcome everyone to our first stage show of the 2024 Season. If you've never been to Doodad Farm, please be sure to look over the details below so you know what to bring and what to do. Also note that unlike nearly all of our shows, this one is not particularly family-friendly (in other words, Jeff Wall is not fully domesticated). OUR PERFORMERS:
When not holed up in a hollow tree making cookies with Ernie and the other elves, Dr. MARK DILLON can be found in a classroom shaping the hearts and minds of the musical youth of America--which explains a lot about the current dumpster fire of American music. Dillon is a rare anomaly: a banjo player who can read sheet music and is competent on any instrument with strings. He's a talented musician who is fairly competent in just about any genre of music you care to name and an in-demand songwriter who has written musicals, scored plays, and shared stages with a who's who of American music. So why is he sharing a stage with Jeff Wall?
Contrary to whatever rumors you may have heard, the 23andme DNA test results offer irrefutable proof that JEFF WALL is NOT a Bigfoot, at least not a pure blooded one. No one is exactly sure what his genetic lineage consists of. At an early age he was taught to walk upright, and to stop throwing his poop at people. After 40 years of playing guitar he has learned to be an almost adequate picker. Also known as "BigDumbHick," he is a brilliant songwriter who pens heart-rending simple three-chord songs about dogs licking themselves and how he's unable to get laid anymore.
Dillon and Wall on a stage together is an unforgettable experience, though many wish they were able to forget. If past performances are any indication. it will be a evening of swapping songs and trading insults followed by a possible demonstration of what happens when a pissed off arthritic gorilla is thrown into a cage with a drunken autistic spider monkey. Poop will be thrown.

HOW TO ATTEND:
The show will start at 7pm, but you're welcome to show up earlier than that to enjoy the weather, have a picnic, or just hang out (though we may ask you to help set up!). No need for tickets or reservations; just show up and drive around the farmhouse until you see our stage.
COST:
Doodad Farm never charges for entry to concerts, though we do request that those who are able (and you know who you are) donate at the stage area. Every penny of donations goes straight to the performers. We think $15-$20 per guest is a reasonable donation for this show. There will also be an opportunity to buy CDs and other merchandise, and that's an even better way to contribute. As always, we ask that you surprise yourself with your own generosity to support our performers.
OTHER DETAILS:
• Kids, dogs, and all your friends are always welcome.
• Please bring CASH for your donation to the performers and merch purchases.
• This is an outside, farm-like setting (thus the name). Dress like you’re going camping and you’ll be fine.
• If it's chilly, we'll have fire barrels to keep you toasty.
• We never allow weapons of any sort at the farm. If you think you need to protect yourself, you’re in the wrong place.
• Bring your own beverages, and consume them responsibly. Of course snacks and picnics are welcome.
• If you’re a sitter, bring a chair. We have some extras if you forget.
• Smoking is permitted as long as you don’t bother anyone or do any butt-dropping.
• Please clean up after yourself and treat the Farm as if it’s your own (in a way, it is!).
• A portable toilet and drinking water will be available.
• Let someone help you park, especially if the field is wet.
