Mariposas de La Catrina: (4-8 people needed)Let your inner butterfly loose! Be a playful monarch butterfly in our fall production of Tribal Burn, Nov 22nd. You’ll be following “La Catrina” throughout the show as her butterfly entourage, wandering through the Spirit World, in between and part of several numbers. All you need is a child like sense of wonder and willingness to be amazed!
Course Includes:
- 2 hours of Class/Rehearsal
- Instruction on how you will be following La Catrina around, minor acting for expression in scene development.
Training Dates:
Location: Sacred Lands, 1700 Park Street N., St. Petersburg, 33710
Saturday, November 8, 2-4pm
You will need to:
- be able to move confidentially on an uneven surface and have free movement of the upper body.
- execute basic dance like movement/choreography.
- be flexible and patient in taking direction, while bringing a fun spirit to the rehearsals and show.
- Attend rehearsals/show: blocking rehearsal: Sunday, November 16, 3-5pm, dress rehearsal: Friday, November 21, 6:30-9:30pm, show: Saturday, November 22, 6:30-9:30 (or until show is over). There may be additional rehearsals to work with an individual group or scene as needed.
Cost/Costuming:
- Wear your own long sleeved solid black shirt or leotard and long solid black leggings.
