Intensive Workshops – Mario and Stephanie Robau are excited to bring you a NEW COMPETITOR'S INTENSIVE weekend course. *Participation in original Intensive is helpful, but not required.
Originally developed due to demand in the Houston area, this competition focused weekend has garnered amazing results. The original class saw EVERY SINGLE ATTENDEE receive better scores in their very next competition, with most students earning enough points to rise in level within 6 months.
Mario and Stephanie are uniquely qualified with over 60 combined years of competition under their belts, four halls of fame, living legends induction, 4 world championships, and well over 50 national titles. Both Mario and Stephanie have won multiple championships with multiple dance partners at the highest level of competition, proving their versatility and ability to get the "Win" under different circumstances.
Mario has choreographed more US Open titles than anyone else in history, and has coached national champions in Swing, Carolina Shag, Country, and Ballroom. Furthermore, he is the youngest person ever inducted to the WSDC hall of fame and the only person to win the Texas State Championships 10 times.
Stephanie has extensive formal training in both ballroom and country. In addition to her own 4 world titles, she has cultivated dozens of world champion students, bringing her numerous top teacher awards including UCWDC World’s Top Teacher.
The weekend will cover all aspects of competition, including what judges look for, proper technique, how to stand out above the crowd, competition musicality and showmanship, and managing difficult situations. There will also be mock competitions as well as guided competitions to prepare you to perform, execute, and stand out in Jack and Jill, Strictly Swing, and Routine formats.
Format for the weekend will include:
-discussion
-lessons
-practical application
-mock competition
-judging
Each attendee will also receive handouts and personal skills-based critique

Friday – 4:30-7:00PM
Saturday – 10:30AM – 5:00PM (Bring your lunch, or we can have it delivered)
Sunday – 10:30AM to 3:00PM (Bring your lunch, or we can have it delivered)

Also … this weekend … due to the amount of information presented, all workshops will start on time. Please plan on being here at least ½ hour to a minimum of 15 minutes before the start of the each session.
