Nov 8-9, it’s a Saturday and Sunday, I’m thinking about doing a Marine/ Veteran night. GP tents, cots, get some food and stuff from local places donated, and throw a get together at the local DAV property. If you are local and don’t want to stay the night and just go home that is fine but if you are driving in from out of town and want to stay, that’s what the GP tents and cots are for. Or we can make it mandatory to stay. 🤣This event would celebrate the 250 years the Marine Corps has been around and the 249 years the country has been around. We will get a cake and the whole 9 yards. I’d like to get a head count of who would be interested or know they would go to this. 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡Edit: I want to be clear I'm dead ass serious about this. I’m doing this because us veterans need it. I know what it’s like to live day and day out not knowing who you are or feel out of place because of what you’ve done in the past. I personally have lost way too many friends to unforeseen circumstances and this event would be one step in the right direction to helping prevent it from happening again. I really think that if we all put our heads together, we can come up with a really awesome gathering.
