About this Event
Join the Marine Park Young Adults Association and the NYC Parks Stewardship Team on Saturday, November 1, from 9 AM to 12 PM, for a hands-on morning dedicated to caring for our neighborhood’s street trees.
Street trees play a vital role in our community—they provide shade, clean our air, cool our streets, and create a healthier, more welcoming neighborhood. But they need our help to thrive. Volunteers will work side by side with Parks staff and members of the Marine Park Young Adults Association to W**d tree beds, add nourishing mulch, aerate soil, and clear litter, giving the trees the care they need to stay strong through the seasons.
No prior experience is required. All tools, materials, and guidance will be provided. Just wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty, and bring closed-toe shoes and a reusable water bottle.
This is more than just a service project—it’s an opportunity to connect with neighbors, meet fellow young adults and community members, and make a tangible impact on the streets we walk every day. Whether you come alone, with friends, or as part of a group, your time and energy will help ensure Marine Park remains green and thriving for generations to come.
