District 2 of the Marine Corps League is coming together with the DFW Veteran's Chamber for a social event Frisco Railyard Saturday October 9th.The event is free and open to the public. All Marines, Veterans, and supporters are welcome to join us! Preregistration through the link is appreciated, but not required. We are trying to get an idea on numbers for the venue
Join us for camaraderie, food, refreshments, networking, and socializing. Family friendly. Come out for the social and hang with Marines during the afternoon and stay for the food, drinks and live music as more public shows up in the evening.
If you are a Marine interested in joining the League or interested in starting a detachment in your area, this is a great opportunity to learn more. District 2 of the Marine Corps League covers Dallas, Clay, Collin, Cooke, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Jack, Kaufman, Montague, Rockwall, and Wise counties. Connect with League members from the various Marine Corps League detachments in North Texas and learn how to join or maybe even start your own detachment.
The DFW Veterans Chamber will also be represented for those interested in veteran business owner networking and how they may also benefit the veteran community.
In light of recent events in Afghanistan, including the loss of 13 of our brothers and sisters in arms, we will also be conducting a fundraiser for One Tribe Foundation's WATCH Program. W-A-T-C-H (We Are The Children of Heroes) serves the children and families of America’s fallen first responders and military heroes who have died since 9/11. We have some great prizes lined up and are looking to add more.
