⭐⭐ WHAT'S HAPPENING ⭐⭐
? FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN WA, A SOLO AND ENSEMBLE COMPETITION:
Solo marimba competition and percussion ensemble (2-10 players) competition in one week, with opportunities for valuable feedback as well as lots of prizes!
? TWO CLASSES OF COMPETITION:
A-CLASS for those under the age of 18, OPEN CLASS for all ages.
? AN AWESOME FAMILY OF FACULTY ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD:
Please welcome the faculty members for 2021: Dr Matthew Lau*, Kana Omori*, Stephen Hall* and Jaime Esposito* (Spectrum Ensemble), Robert Oetomo*, Catherine Betts and Joshua Webster (Kaboom Percussion), Brian Maloney, Paul Tanner and Adam Tan (director) + Carissa Soares (general manager).
*Due to COVID-19 regulations, all international and interstate faculty artists will be presenting and/or judging remotely during Marimbafest week.
? DIVERSE RANGE OF MASTERCLASSES:
Participants can learn from some of the best performers, composers, educators and creators in the world through exclusive masterclasses and workshops during the week.
? AMPLE SOCIAL AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES:
The Marimbafest team will be organising some lunches, a BBQ and side activities in between sessions for participants.
? FREE PUBLIC CONCERTS:
All concerts during the week are free to watch.
