Born and raised in Romania, Maria Marr began her musical journey at just five years old, falling in love with the violin and later studying at the High School of Arts before moving to England to pursue her passion for songwriting and performance.�A graduate of The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (London), Maria combines classical training with contemporary artistry, drawing inspiration from Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, and Freya Ridings.
Her single ‘What I Missed in Class’ was selected as BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire’s Pick of the Uploader, while her follow-up ‘Forget About It’ earned a spot on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist.�With heartfelt lyrics, cinematic soundscapes, and a commanding live presence, Maria continues to establish herself as one of the region’s most exciting emerging artists.
