It's winter, friends. We're not doing a lot in the garden this time of year, which means it's the best time to plan! Native plant nurseries are sending out catalogues, pre-orders for native plants are starting, take a look at your lawn and make a plan to convert to native species! Join me at The Ragged Edge on January 28 for a lively evening of cocktails and conversation all about landscaping with native plants! We’ll sip, chat, and dig into how you can turn your yard into a pollinator friendly paradise. Topics cover will include: What is a native species, anyway?, the many benefits of native landscaping, local resources, regional resources, how-to to actually do the thing, and maintenance.
Things to know:
We are limiting attendees to 25. I was blown away by the turnout the last time we did this, but limiting attendance will allow for more conversation and less of a line at the bar.
Cost: $10.00 to Queen of the Prairie. I now have Venmo, or I take cash. Please pay in advance. Please choose "Attending" on the event.
