Marenna’s current line-up is: Rod Marenna (Vocals), Edu Lersch (Guitar), Luks Diesel (Keyboards), BIFE (Bass) and Arthur Schavinski (Drums).
Rod Marenna is a rock singer/songwriter from South Brazil. Being in the music industry for over 30 years, Rod took part in many cover bands and music projects which enabled him to develop his own style, always blending hard rock and heavy metal. In 2014, Rod formed his band, a melodic rock solo project of his own called, Marenna.
His songs are about modern everyday life situations, underlined by messages of optimism, faith and resilience.
In 2015, the band placed #9 in the Sweden Rock Festival World Competition and signed with the Danish label Lions Pride Music. This partnership led to the release of the band's EP "My Unconditional Faith" (2015) and the full-length album "No Regrets" (2017), both of which sold out and received excellent reviews worldwide.
During the “No Regrets Tour”, the live album "Livin' No Regrets" was recorded and then released by Sony Music in 2018 on all main digital platforms while the physical distribution was done by Rock Company (Netherlands).
During the pandemic in (2020-2021), the EP "Pieces Of Tomorrow" (independent) was produced and released containing the singles: Getting Higher, Pieces Of Tomorrow, Break My Heart Again and Had Enough.
Between 2021 and 2022, the band recorded their latest studio album "Voyager," which was released by Lions Pride Music and received excellent reviews worldwide.
During the “Voyager” Tour (2022-2023), Marenna released a live performance recorded at Estúdio Show Livre on all main digital platforms and performed at major events such as Capital Moto Week in Brasília (Main Stage). They also opened for notable rock acts such as ANGRA, SHAMAN, ERIC MARTIN (Mr. Big), DANNY VAUGHN (Tyketto), CRAZY LIXX, GEOFF TATE (Ex-Queensryche), and the legendary SCORPIONS during their 50th-anniversary tour in Porto Alegre, performing in front of over 10,000 people.
In 2024, the band will be touring Argentina and Europe on their “Ten Years After Tour,” celebrating their 10th anniversary and promoting their new album, “Ten Years After.” This album features 10 live songs and two new singles, produced by Henrique Canale (Spektra). They are also working on a new studio album and planning a tour for 2025.
