Mardi Gras returns to Nevada City on Saturday, March 1, 2025!This annual family-friendly event features a festive parade and street fair throughout historic downtown Nevada City, offering up spirited fun for all ages.
Nevada City has been known to throw a party and its version of Fat Tuesday is no exception! The parade starts promptly at 2pm, but festivities run all afternoon from 12-4pm.
Back by popular demand - The Earles of Newtown with perform from the balcony on the corner of Broad & Pine Streets (above the Nevada City Chocolate Shoppe) before and after the parade.
The Street Fair on N. Pine & Commercial Streets is from 12pm-4pm. Come early for lunch and shopping. You can find accessories for your perfect costume, shop hand-made gifts or pick up some extra beads for friends. Mardi Gras masks will be available for sale, along with vendors selling food, drinks, and more.
