Third annual Mardi Bras for a Cause is here! A fun collection drive for new brassieres, underwear and personal-care items for women and girls who are homeless or residing temporarily in area women’s shelters due to domestic violence. Many of these women, especially in domestic violence situations, have to leave their homes in the middle of the night, in a hurry, with just the clothes on their back. Come for a relaxed social time, Mardi Gras-style beads, music and plenty of refreshments. One free drink ticket given for donations of women’s personal care items, underwear, feminine products and/or cash donations during the event. A cash bar will also be available for additional beer, wine and soft drinks.
Donations can also be made prior to March 3 at the Chuck Mathena Center or at WVVA studios.
