About this Event

On March 11, 1998, my younger brother Marcus Eugene Wiseman was hit and killed by an impaired driver on Skyline Drive in the Skyline Hills Community of San Diego, CA. I believe that his untimely death has fueled and motivated me to want to live and accomplish all that I can. Not just for me but ultimately for him. It was not until recently that I thought of the proper way to remember his legacy.

On August 6th, 2022 (this date also celebrates his birthday, 7th), Footprints On The Moon Consulting Services, LLC. will be sponsoring the inaugural “Marcus Eugene Wiseman, Footprints On The Moon” backpack giveaway in memoriam of his passing. Marcus was an extremely bright child. His favorite pastime was reading. At the time of his passing, he was reading a book entitled “Young Martin’s Promise.” A book written about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s adolescence years and vision to make the world a better place. He was a stellar student at Fulton Elementary School, where he received numerous scholastic and athletic achievements and awards, most notably being named to the honor roll. Marcus was a member of the Skyline Pop Warner football team and earned a yellow belt degree in karate. His favorite song was “we’ll always love big poppa” by the lox. Ultimately, his dream was to grow up and become a police officer.

Fulton Elementary School resides in the Skyline Hills community in Southeast San Diego. Southeast San Diego is an underserved community.
