The Marcus & Millichap | Kabani Hotel Group has successfully hosted the Hotel Investment Forum every October to record numbers, with attendance from industry leaders, investors, developers, CEOs, hoteliers, and keynote speakers from around the nation to explore industry trends, the current market cycle, tax cuts and much more.
In its fifth year, the event drew high numbers with close to 300 people in attendance and represented all sectors of the hospitality industry and was moderated by Vinay Rama, CEO of Mandala Holdings. The sold-out event included technical workshops and panel discussions covering the hospitality outlook for 2022 with acclaimed experts in the industry, including John Chang, Marcus & Millichap’s national director-research and advisory services; John P. Lancet, senior managing director, HVS Consulting & Valuation, HVS Intl.; Rob Mentnech, regional director SE U.S./ Caribbean, Best Western International; Carlos J. Rodriguez, CEO of Driftwood Capital; Brian Waldman, executive vice president of Peachtree Hotel Group; Joseph Pack, founder and managing partner, Pack Law; Ryan Nee, first vice president and district manager at Marcus & Millichap; Chris Desai, VP of Baywood Hotels; and Andy Ingraham, president, founder & CEO of NABHOOD.
Topics included “Diversity in Hospitality” by Andy Ingraham, “Legality in Hospitality” presented by Joe Pack, and the industry achievement recognition of Rocco Angelo. Other topics covered included were diversity in hospitality, the “State of Hospitality in a COVID Environment”; “Capital Markets: Debt Forbearance, Distressed Assets, and Financing”; “Best Practices in the Hotel Industry”; and much more.
