Marcia’s deep connection to Geelong dates back to the late 70's when she visited her brother Shane Howard and the Goanna Band rehearsing at the Paper Mills. After years of touring, she settled in Geelong in 2017 and has since performed and recorded live at The Door Gallery Café during the Covid-19 lockdowns. Known for her work with the iconic Goanna Band, Marcia uses her music to advocate for social justice, Indigenous rights, and environmental protection. Her music blends folk, rock, and Celtic influences, offering a unique and powerful sound. For this special performance, Marcia will be joined by her brother, award winning songwriter and Ploughboys front man, Damian Howard with her band, Michael Davis on drums and her son, Liam Gubbins on bass guitar and vocals. Together, they’ll perform a mix of classic hits and new songs, showcasing their distinctive musical chemistry. This intimate concert offers a rare opportunity to experience Marcia and Damian’s music up close, along with the personal stories behind their songs.
