Join Trinity Council No. 36, Knight Masons as we march in the Detroit St. Patrick's Day Parade! All regular Masons and their families are encouraged to come along with us as we march down Michigan Ave. in Corktown. It's been 10 years since we started marching in the Detroit St. Patrick's Parade, so we'll be celebrating that and Michigan's First Grand Superintendent, Brandon Mullins.
Like last year, we will have a float in the parade. This year's theme is: Detroit Irish: A charitable legacy of friendship, loyalty, and love, and for Masons I think we shouldn't have too hard of a time highlighting charitable giving. Limited seating on the float will be available, with priority given to those who cannot reasonably march.
We have been placed in the 5th Division this year, which means we are to assemble on Abbot Street near the corner of 6th Street.
Dress code will be dark suits, or overcoats with Knight Masons apron and sash, with sword, for Cousins, or dark suits or overcoats with Royal Arch or Blue Lodge regalia for Companions and Brothers.
Following the march, we'll be headed to Slows To Go on Cass for some BBQ and our usual informal festive board.
