Pride Mubarak! This year, Hidayah LGBTQI (a charity dedicated to LGBTQ Muslims) will be marching at Manchester Pride, insha Allah.
We would absolutely love to see you there where you can:
- Meet other LGBTQ Muslims, including members of the Hidayah team
- March with us in the March for Peace, if you feel comfortable*
- Get some Hidayah merch with our new logo
- Check out some of the free events in the city centre
- Join us for dinner later!
* Many of our members aren't visible, and we completely understand that you may not be comfortable marching publicly. You are welcome to either a) wear a mask (including a Hidayah branded one that we can provide!) or b) join us later for a meal if you'd prefer. Whatever level of participation you're comfortable with is good with us.
NOTE: this ticket does not provide entry to the Manchester Pride events - Party at Manchester Pride Festival, The Gay Village Party, etc. If you wish to attend any of the main Pride events, please ensure you have purchased your tickets in advance here https://www.manchesterpride.com/tickets.
Hidayah’s mission is to provide support and welfare for LGBTQIA+ Muslims, promote social justice and education about our community to counter discrimination, prejudice, and injustice, and create a safe and sustainable community with a long-lasting impact. Hidayah is a secular organisation, but its projects and activities are developed specifically for the needs of LGBTQI+ Muslims. Our vision is to ensure our voices are heard and understood. We are a mix of practicing and non-practicing Muslims. However, we warmly welcome friends, families, and allies to our events.
Tickets start at £5, with a £10 option if you would like Hidayah merch. Additionally, if you would prefer not to march but still want to come to dinner, you can select that option too for £5.
