Building Unity is a project that has worked with dozens of groups over the past seven years in an effort to promote united action for peace, justice, sustainability, and democracy. During the "March to Election Day Tour," we are making tour stops in communities across our state. On March 16, we will see you in Appleton!
Join us at the 602 Club at 5:30 for a simple shared meal, followed by a Community Forum at 6 p.m.
We believe the best ways to build our strength to protect our democracy in these difficult times is to:
* find each other,
* get organized for solidarity and collaborative action,
* Take every opportunity to elect leaders who share our commitment for Peace, Justice, Sustainability, & Democracy.
The MARCH TO ELECTION DAY TOUR can help us do all three. At each tour stop we’ll listen and learn; share plans and ideas; show up for each other, take turns, and explore the possibilities of acting together.
At our Appleton Community Forum, we will explore solidarity actions to address some of our critical goals like these:
* Ending U.S. support for genocide and crimes against humanity.
* Learning how we can better keep each other safe (especially our immigrant, BIPOC, and transgender neighbors.)
* Helping Indigenous water protectors Stop Line 5!
* Demanding universal health care that includes legal and safe abortion care.
* Getting ourselves more organized for mass united action.
Please join us! We look forward to connecting with you. Learn more about us at https://www.buildingunitywisconsin.org/
