About this Event
In this interactive playshop, educators will receive an exclusive preview of the March SEL Calendar theme, "Mindful Moments: Moving from 'I Can't' to 'I Can't Wait!'" This month’s focus is on building resilience and fostering a growth mindset in students. Participants will explore how mindfulness can help students shift their perspective from feeling stuck to being excited about learning and overcoming challenges. The playshop will highlight strategies for helping students identify their strengths, tackle obstacles, and embrace personal growth with a positive attitude.
This playshop will model four hands-on activities from the March Calendar, formatted as a Morning Meeting/Advisory session. Each activity is grounded in research-backed practices, giving educators evidence-based tools to support social-emotional learning (SEL) in their classrooms. You’ll discover how these activities promote resilience, growth mindset development, and enthusiasm for learning, while aligning with proven educational frameworks.
Target Audience: This playshop is designed for school leaders, teachers, school social workers, and counselors who are looking to enhance their SEL practices by building resilience, fostering a growth mindset, and encouraging students to embrace challenges with a positive attitude.
