Let’s Gather at the Waterworks on the last Sunday of March!The St. Johns Cultural Council and Ancient City Poets present “Spring into Action” with Ancient City Poets.
Poets and poetry fans will gather on Sunday February 23th from 3-4:30 PM at the Waterworks (184 San Marco Avenue, across from the Main Branch of the St. Johns County Library). Poets of all skill levels are given an opportunity to share their poems with a loving and supportive audience.
Readers are invited to present poems that relate to Spring and other things. The theme is meant as a writing prompt and it is your choice if you want to follow the theme or not. Give us two or three of your polished poems or share fresh ink from your notebook. Invite a friend or two or three to cheer you on.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE ANCIENT CITY POETS
Ancient City Poets is the local chapter of the Florida State Poets Association (FSPA). These gatherings qualify as the monthly chapter meeting. The monthly readings are open to all. You do not have to be a member to share at the podium. Ancient City Poets is a community of poets and poetry lovers who have gathered in the Nation’s Oldest City, on the last Sunday of the month, since August 2009.

Membership: When you become a member of FSPA, you are also a member of your local group AND the National Federation of State Poetry Societies. Annual membership dues are $35 (and $20 for students).
