Our fifteenth year of open mic continues as Athens poet J.R. BARNER returns to the Globe stage on March 5. He'll read from his new book "The Ocean Underground" and previous works "Little Eulogies" and "Burnt Out Stars." His poetry "explores the hiddenness of the everyday, the gradual toll secrets take, and the possibilities in between" [Eva Aldea] and has been described as "a time-bending pilgrimage through the realms of human experience" [Amanda Dzimianski].Open mic signup begins at 6 pm and readings upstairs at 7 pm on Wednesday March 5. As always, the event is free and open to the public!
