If you have been out and about in Sutton Coldfield over the last few days you must of noticed that some brightly painted Elephants have appeared (If not, you might need to change your glasses!). This is part of a campaign by St Giles Hospice called "March of the Elephants". The link to their website is below.https://www.marchoftheelephants.co.uk/
30+ elephants have been placed in Sutton, Lichfield and Tamworth and we've decided to join with St Giles and the parkrun's in those locations to promote this, and also to have a bit of fun with it too.
So we'll be arranging a few Elephant themed things for you to get involved with. We're also arranging a relay where we'll pass the baton (also probably an Elephant) between the three events, our turn will be on Saturday the 3rd August. Beacon parkrun will be hosting on the 20th July and Tamworth Castle Grounds parkrun on the 10th August.
If you've not been to Beacon or Tamworth previously this is a great opportunity to try them out and "Collect" the Elephants they have in those locations too.
You're obviously all invited and we'll be doing fancy dress (of course!) so find yourself some lovely Elephant themed fancy dress!
