Installing a Native Landscaping, "Do's and Don'ts"
Presenter:
Amanda Martin, Horticulturist and owner of Grounded Solutions
About the Presentation:
The “look” of native plants in a yard is perceived by many as “messy.” This perception can be remedied with thoughtful and appealing landscape design principles. Amanda Martin, Horticulturist and owner of Grounded Solutions, offers help and guidance for planting our environmentally friendly Florida native plants for sustainability and appeal. Amanda has been designing and installing Florida native landscapes since 2012. Recognizing the difficulty in maintaining native landscapes without an understanding of how the plants would grow, Amanda designs landscapes with a maintenance plan in mind. Over the past 12 years, she has been able to observe native plants as they grow in the wild and in the urban landscape. This presentation includes multiple examples of how to, do’s and don’ts when installing a Native landscape.
Feel free to visit her website at GroundedSol.com to learn more about the services she provides.
