Join us for our March Business Breakfast where we will celebrate Irish Heritage Month with guest speakers Maitiú Costello, Senior Manager, Facilities Operations & Administration and Martin McDermott, Manager, Equipment Operations at Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Maitiú Costello
Maitiú Costello is from County Kildare and has spent the past four years working with the Vancouver Whitecaps. With a background in administration across a range of finance roles, he brings a strong operational and commercial foundation to his work in professional football. At the club, Maitiú oversees Facilities, Operations, Capital Planning, and Sustainability, supporting the day‑to‑day functioning of the organization while helping plan for its long‑term growth. His role spans everything from site operations and major capital projects to sustainability initiatives.
Martin McDermott
Marty McDermott is from County Leitrim and has spent the past 14 years working in professional football, with experience across high performance team operations and player scouting. Working with the Vancouver Whitecaps, helping support the day to day performance environment and contributing to talent identification and recruitment.
Over the years, Marty’s done a bit of everything including equipment, logistics, budgeting, match prep, and player evaluation giving him a clear understanding of what it really takes behind the scenes for a team to perform.
