About the Keynote Speaker:

Callie Meyer, a lifelong South Dakotan, graduated from Watertown High School and then attended the University of South Dakota where she received her Bachelor of Science in Sustainability.

After graduation, she lived in Sioux Falls and worked for an ag-tech startup for several years in talent strategy & operations.

Callie moved to Rapid City four years ago to live in her husband’s hometown, and she hasn’t looked back since. West River really is Best River.

She joined Main Street Square & Downtown Rapid City two years ago as Executive Director and has since helped with the organization’s long-term sustainability by merging with Visit Rapid City, where Callie is currently the Director of Community Engagement. In this role, she gets to advocate and partner with the community to ensure that Rapid City is a vibrant place to live with ample quality of life experiences.

Callie is involved in the City’s Sustainability Committee, City of Rapid City Comprehensive Plan Advisory Team, Humane Society of the Black Hills Fundraising Committee, Elevate Public Policy Committee, and is currently in the Elevate Leadership Institute Class of 2025.

In her down time, she spends time with her husband, Sutton, and their pets: a dog named Hal, and a very large orange cat named Twinkie. She is a Certified Swiftie, loves to try new recipes, and can be found rooting for the Yankees during baseball season.

Callie loves being a part of the Rapid City community and is grateful to live in a place that gives individuals opportunities to make an impact.
