Workshop Description:
This Artlab, we will highlight Mayan hieroglyphs related to the water & ocean. We will interpret them in our own way with colors, patterns, and shapes. We will be using pencils, crayons and markers on 5x5 illustration boards to create our own mayan glyphs with knowledge presented in the workshop. Together we will create a new, hybrid Mayan hieroglyph that is reflective of our modern time.
En este Artlab, destacaremos los jeroglíficos mayas relacionados con el agua y el océano. Los interpretaremos a nuestra manera con colores, patrones y formas. Utilizaremos lápices, crayones y marcadores en cartulinas de 5x5 para crear nuestros propios glifos mayas con los conocimientos presentados en el taller. Juntos crearemos un nuevo jeroglífico maya híbrido que refleje nuestra época moderna.
